The 2009 Season Highlights

The Gresford Colliery Welsh Counties team are Welsh Counties League Champions for the second consecutive season.

Wrexham A Team finish runnersup in the Premier Divsion.

The newly formed B Team win the Wrexham 3rd Division by 40 points.

Pairs team finish 3rd in Division 1. well played to the youngsters and new members.

Gresford Colliery Flintshire team have a successful season finishing Runnersup in Division 1.

Colliery Vets are Champions of Division 3,after winning the 4th Division last season.They also won the League Cup again.

Rhos Vets finish Runnersup in Divsion 1, and Runnersup in the Cup.

In the Cyril Adams County Cup we were Runnersup,and our 'B' team were Runnersup in the W.G. Roberts Cup.

Tony Roberts is top of the Premier League Averages,( also Gresford Colliery )and Gresford Colliery Flintshire League,(just misses out as top of the Flintshire League Averages), Eric Chaloner tops Wrexham League 3rd Division, and wins League 3 Division Merit Finals. K.P. wins Welsh Counties League merit also Pairs League merit. Roy Harper finishes top of the Vets 3rd Division Averages.

Congratulations to Jordan Riley(10) the new star of the Colliery Club in winning the Armston Junior Trophy played at Sale Bowling Club.Entries from Wales,Birmingham and the whole of the North of England took part. Well done Jordan from all the Colliery Members.

Individual members have won many competitions and so as not to offend anyone I will not list them.

All the team captains have done a good job, and it is pleasing to see some young players coming through.

The Bowls section would like to thank the sponsors for their help, also Gwersyllt Community Council for their help in funding the new Shelter.
